John Pearson Ceramics

John Pearson painted blanks produced by varous manufacturers. He is known to have worked for William De Morgan and his ceramic designs illustrate the same wild imagination and motifs that are found on his metalwork and on De Morgan chargers, namely fantastic birds, beasts, galleons etc. It is difficult, in my experience, to find Pearson ceramics in pristine form. Normally the paint has flaked off or there is rubbing. Some examples are given below.
