Metalwork

John Pearson

A fine box dated 1902

John Pearson metalwork is usually marked, may be dated, and may have a pattern number. Metals used were (most frequently) copper, although brass and, rarely, silver may be found.

The types of objects produced by John Pearson typically included decorative large copper bowls, chargers, boxes and mirrors. However, he also produced a range of usable everyday objects such as coal scuttles, candlesticks, fingerplates etc. Examples can be viewed here.
