About Us
Who are we?
We are Noel and Sophie Tarleton. Our telephone number is 01803 291812 or 07973 412131. We can also be contacted via our email (see 'Contact Us').
Where are we?
We used to live in Victoria Park, Hackney until October 2007. We now live in Devon where we found a lovely house and good schools, but still have close connections with London. Sophie is a Suzuki violin teacher.
What are our interests?
We are collectors with a particular interest in late nineteenth and twentieth century decorative arts and design (predominantly British). We are particularly keen on Martin Brothers pottery, British Studio Pottery, Whitefriars Glass, Troika Pottery, Poole Pottery (Studio, Delphis, and Atlantis pottery), Ron Hitchins and the Arts and Crafts tradition generally. Our website features in Judith Miller's Collectables 2007.
We are becoming more interested in mid to late 20th century German pottery such as Ruscha, Roth, Jasba and Scheurich.
Do we buy items?
Yes. We are also currently looking to buy Ruscha Vulcano glaze vases in interesting shapes, Poole Studio from the 1960s, Poole Atlantis, plain freeform, Martin Brothers (especially organic vases) and British Studio pottery (particularly Janet Leach and Katharine Pleydell-Bouverie). We will pay the best prices for the right pieces.
What are our fact sheets?
We are trying to build up gallery images and information about particular areas of interest. We hope this will be a resource for collectors and enthusiasts and that they will contribute their own images (which we will, of course, acknowledge personally or, if preferred anonymously). We have started with a fact sheet on John Pearson, the famous Arts and Crafts metalworker.
How do I contribute images and information for the fact sheets?
Please contact us. We will email you back as soon as possible.
